Dog Walking Agreement

Client authorisation & terms 2023 - PLEASE READ ALL POLICIES BELOW THEN FILL OUT THE FORM TO AGREE AND SUBMIT

 

1. I agree to provide keys / arrange for keys to be available for Zoomies dog walking/ free play / Small animal care / Puppy visit arrangements.

2. I authorise Zoomies free play & dog walking service to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with my pet. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. I also authorise Zoomies free play & dog walking service to use an alternative veterinarian in the event my regular veterinarian is unavailable.

3. I agree to compensate Zoomies free play & dog walking service for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.

4. I understand I will be responsible for any medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the pet sitter/walker or other persons by the pet. I agree to cover and hold harmless Zoomies free play & dog walking service in the event of a claim by any person injured by the pet. I accept full liability for any loss or damage caused by my dog whilst being walked.

5. I agree to notify Zoomies free play & dog walking service of any concerns/complaints within 24 hours of any appointments.

6. I understand I must state if my pet shows aggression in any way. I understand I must fully disclose any quality or characteristic problems that might make my dog not suitable for walks/visits. Zoomies free play & dog walking service will not care for pets that imperil their safety or others.

Zoomies free play & dog walking offer services where dogs co-mingle in groups and the Client accepts that during the course of normal dog play their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play is carefully monitored to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries may occur despite the best supervision.

The Client accepts that even though their dog is vaccinated against Kennel Cough there is a chance that their dog can still contract Kennel Cough. The Client agrees that they will not hold Zoomies responsible if their dog contracts Kennel Cough while attending.

The Client consents to their dog being photographed, videotaped, and/or used in any media or advertising by Zoomies without prior approval. All such media remain the property of Zoomies.

The Client agrees that Zoomies is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged leads, collars, tags, clothing or any other item left with their dog.

The client agrees to inform Zoomies if their dog has come into season and accepts that walks may not be possible and could be swapped for a home visit.

Zoomies free play & dog walking service responsibilities

7. Zoomies free play & dog walking service agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, kind, and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client specifically waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Zoomies free play & dog walking service, its employees, or assignments, except those occurring from the negligence of the Dog walker

8. Zoomies free play & dog walking service accepts no responsibility for the security of the premises or loss/ damage to the home during the term of this agreement. During all assignments, dog walking will only be carried out by Zoomies free play & dog walking service owner or employees, unless prearranged with the client. Zoomies free play & dog walking service holds no responsibility for damages to the property.

9. Zoomies free play & dog walking service will not let any dog off his/her lead unless the owner has given written consent.

10. If unforeseen circumstances occur when Zoomies free play & dog walking service cannot attend to your dog's needs due to illness etc, you will be notified straight away.

11. Zoomies free play & dog walking service is not responsible for damage sustained by a pet escaping because of a faulty lead/collar or a collar that is not properly fitted.

12. Zoomies free play & dog walking service will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.

13. It is clearly understood that Zoomies free play & dog walking service will not be held responsible for any damage to the client's property, or that of others, caused by the client's pets during the period in which they are in its care. The client has advised Zoomies free play & dog walking service in all situations, which will relieve it of liability for damage.

14. This agreement is valid for all future walks until a new agreement is signed. Zoomies free Play & dog walking service reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion. The client may terminate this agreement at any time with one month's notice.

15. Zoomies free play & dog walking service agree to love and care for your pet whilst you are away or at work.

Cancellation Policy

Permanent slots

If permanent days are booked each week continuously, you will be paying for the permanent slot whether it is used or not. Any cancellations will be at your discretion and will still be chargeable. Less than 1 month's notice will be charged at half rate. A maximum of 12 working days can be cancelled for a holiday, anything over 12 days will be charged at a half rate to keep your slot. I do offer term time only permanent slots for teachers.

 

Non-Permanent slots

Infrequent walks require a minimum notice of 1 week for cancellation, less than this will still be chargeable.

Payment

Payment links will be sent after the booking has been agreed and are payable immediately. Cash payments may be left monthly on the first walk of the month. A reminder that the balance is due will be sent out before the service is due to start. We will not attend if payment has not been received. If payment is late a late charge of £2 per day should be added to your invoice.

Leads

It is extremely important that suitable leads are provided. If your dog pulls excessively, please provide a lead to cater to this. If suitable leads are not provided appropriate leads owned by the dog walker will be used. If you do not wish this to happen please inform the dog walker.

Weather

Heat

When the weather is extremely hot and it's evident the dogs are struggling in the heat; hour walks will be shortened accordingly. This is to enable Zoomies free play & dog walking service to cool the dogs down and make sure they are comfortable before leaving. Or In the event of extreme heat, where I believe the welfare of your dog will be compromised, walks will be cancelled but we will conduct welfare checks and a toilet break, allowing your pet to have some company and indoor playtime. Usual charges still apply. 

Rain and wind

Walks will be normal unless winds are gale force or rain is heavy and results in your dog being ill, in this case, Owners will be informed that walks may have to be shortened in order for Zoomies free play & dog walking service to reach all dogs booked in for walks due to traffic disruption.

Freezing, ice, and snow

If the weather is below freezing and paths are icy, walks may be cancelled due to safety issues. We can swap the session and conduct welfare checks and a toilet break, allowing your pet to have some company and indoor playtime. Usual charges still apply and this will be dependant on driving conditions.

Dog Walker days off

30 days' notice will be given for any days the dog walker will be absent from walks. Any days off for the walker will not be chargeable and your invoice will be changed accordingly.

 

Pick up and drop off policy

PICK UP

A pick-up time may be pre-arranged with you if specifically requested, otherwise, it will be varied in either a morning lunch or afternoon slot.

Please leave leads out in the agreed place visible. We will provide leads if required. Please leave towels out if it is due to be a wet day. Your dog will be taken on an agreed walk either locally or transported to a chosen walk/secure field in our vehicle.

DROP OFF

We will walk your dog for the agreed time and drop them off at your house after the agreed session has taken place (this could change depending on the weather- please see our terms and conditions for more information).

This is to allow us to dry paws, get your dog comfortable and give fresh water and treats or food if specified.

If for some reason we are delayed we will keep you updated.

 

Cancellation Policy

Customers are required to pay monthly in advance for walks. We ask for one month's notice for any cancellation. This includes holidays & sickness. This is so we can run our business smoothly and ensure that slots are filled.

 

If a month's notice is given no charges will be due. This is so we can fill the slot with clients who need different walks each month.

 

If you wish to cancel a slot you can do so by calling, emailing, or texting us on 07939973019. Alternatively, send us a message on our social media pages.

 

Permanent slots

You will not hold a permanent slot and walks will vary each month.

If you struggle to make payment, please contact me. We can organise a payment plan which will minimise any disruption to your dog's walk. Failure to make payment will result in firstly a suspension of walks/visits and secondly cancellation of services. Failure to make payment will result in a small claims court application.

Data Protection & Privacy Policy

Zoomies take the privacy of our clients very seriously and will never share or disclose any of your details to third parties, with the exception of your nominated vet. You may have access to any of your data at any given time.

 

Our Privacy Policy is required as a part of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), it is necessary for us to inform you of the information we keep about you and your dog, how we use it, and how it is stored.

 

We store the following information about your dog on their consent forms and which will be locked away securely each night or if sent digitally they will be secured by password on our computer.

Your name, address, email address, and emergency contacts, all of which you will have provided in your consent forms.

 

  • Your dog's age, breed, colour, gender, etc.

  • If your dog has likes/dislikes during their walks

  • If your dog has been nervous, excited, or aggressive during their walks

  • Any medical issues that you have provided us with?

  • The amount you spend on walks with us.

We will only use your personal information in the following ways:-

 

  • to respond to any inquiries made by yourself to us

  • to send appointment reminders via email and text message

  • to send any special vouchers or promotions

  • for market research purposes

  • for record-keeping purposes

  • to deal with inquiries and complaints

  • to contact you about your appointment, dog collection or drop off, cancellations, rescheduling, or emergencies

  • To ask you for a review

 

It is an explicit requirement that we have a minimum of your name, address, and phone number so that we can send walk updates reminders/changes or if we urgently need to contact you when your dog is in our care.

Unfortunately, we CAN NOT accept a dog for dog walking without valid, up-to-date contact details.

Your name and contact number will also be stored on my mobile phone to enable me to contact you in cases of emergencies, walk updates, and appointment reminders. No other details are held on my mobile phone.

This information will not be available to anyone other than me and will be protected by a passcode only I have access to.

You may ask to view your details at any time. If you would like your information destroyed please let us know and we will do so at your request. Any non-returning customer details will be destroyed within 1 year of non-attendance on walks

We send out newsletters that you can opt out of at any time. We will ask your permission before adding you to our mailing list. We like to take pictures of our walks to share on our socials, we will only share if you have agreed for us to do so in our consent forms. Off Lead Policy

Please make sure you read our off-lead/leash terms carefully & agree to each point. If you do not agree then we will be unable to let your dog off lead.

I give consent for Zoomies to allow my dog off lead in a secure environment where there is no threat to their safety.

1. My dog has good recall and will return to a walker when called

2. Any incidences or accidents that result from my dog being off-lead will be my responsibility. I relinquish Zoomies of any liability

3. If my dog needs vet care as a result of being off lead I agree to cover all expenses and the expenses of the dog walker for their loss of earnings and time

4. If Zoomies feels my dog is not suitable to be off lead, I agree for my dog to be walked on their lead.

5. My dog shows no signs of aggression towards any other animal or human
